Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently had a lighthearted exchange with reporter Brian Glenn at the White House, months after Glenn criticized him for not wearing a suit during a February 2025 meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Back then, Glenn asked if Zelenskyy even owned a suit, calling his casual attire disrespectful. Zelenskyy replied, “I will wear a costume after this war will finish.”
Fast-forward to August 18, Zelenskyy appeared in a black suit. Glenn greeted him with, “You look fabulous in that suit,” before apologizing for his earlier remarks. Zelenskyy smiled and shot back, “You’re in the same suit… You see, I changed. You did not.”
The witty comeback went viral, with many praising Zelenskyy’s humor and symbolism. Supporters highlighted how his attire often reflects Ukraine’s wartime reality, while critics debated whether fashion should matter at all.
Meanwhile, attention also turned to Trump’s gait during his recent meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Online speculation about his zigzag walk ranged from health concerns to sniper-avoidance tactics. The White House later clarified Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a common but benign condition in older adults.
